Vox Grata, a Nashville-based women’s choir, will present its spring concert, “The World in Harmony” on May 21, 2015 at Westminster Presbyterian Church. The program, an international celebration of folk music, will include folk songs in eight languages.
Vox Grata is led by Artistic Director Jeanette MacCallum, and is accompanied by Dr. John Semingson.
Vox Grata is comprised of joyful women who, out of gratitude for the fullness of their own lives, possess a desire to sing together for the benefit of others. The group performs repertoire that expresses a uniquely feminine spirit, especially works that promote the best interests of women in society. Vox Grata Women’s Choir is unique among fine choral groups, as this concert and all of its concerts directly benefit the needs of women in the Nashville community.
In lieu of an admission fee, donations will be accepted with the proceeds benefiting Renewal House, a nonprofit agency that fosters healing, resiliency and continuing recovery to addicted women and their children. The concert will be held at 7:00 PM, Thursday, May 21, 2015 at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 3900 West End Avenue, Nashville, TN.
