The concert will feature works based on the subject of creation, including Choral Hymns from the Rig Veda by Gustav Holst.

Vox Grata is led by Artistic Director Jeanette MacCallum, and is accompanied by John Semingson. Licia Jaskunas, harpist, will also perform with the choir as a special guest artist.

Vox Grata is comprised of joyful women who, out of gratitude for the fullness of their own lives, possess a desire to sing together for the benefit of others. The group performs repertoire that expresses a uniquely feminine spirit, especially works that promote the interests of women in society. Vox Grata Women’s Choir is unique among fine choral groups, as this concert and all of their concerts directly benefit the needs of women in the Nashville community.

In lieu of an admission fee, donations will be accepted with the proceeds benefiting Mending Hearts, a residential recovery-oriented therapeutic community for women. The concert will be held at 7:00 PM, Thursday, January 30, 2014 at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 3900 West End Avenue, Nashville, TN.
