The Vox Grata Conducting Apprenticeship Program provides gifted, developing conductors with learning experiences which complement their education in traditional degree programs.
This is a unique and exciting, one-year opportunity to work alongside the conducting mentors with podium time during both rehearsals and concerts. The Conducting Apprenticeship reflects the high value Vox Grata places upon the recognition of emerging conductors.
Vox Grata is excited to announce its 2022/23 Conducting Apprentice, Kathryn Duncklee. Kathryn will begin her work with Vox Grata in August.
Kathryn Duncklee is a senior at Trevecca Nazarene University pursuing a degree in Music Education. She currently serves as Associate Conductor of Trevecca‘s Concert Choir and sings with the university’s TNU Singers as well as the Chancel Choir of the First United Methodist Church of Hendersonville. Kathryn has served as President of Trevecca’s chapter of American Choral Directors Association.
Following her anticipated college graduation spring of 2023, Kathryn plans to teach general and vocal music in the public school system. She is passionate about finding community among musicians and sharing the joy of music with younger generations. Outside of all things music, Kathryn loves running and taking trips home to New Hampshire to go hiking in the beautiful White Mountains! She is very excited for the wonderful opportunity to become part of the Vox Grata community!
